If you don’t think hybrid owners can lust after cars that are even more efficient, eco-friendly and dynamic than what they’re driving, you haven’t been watching how successful Tesla has become.

The fact that so many people went after the Model S the way they did, only proves how starved environmentalists were for a product that featured less compromises, yet was also fun to drive – or to accelerate.

In the US, you can get an Audi A3 e-tron for $37,900 MSRP (starting price), though that will land you the Premium-spec model, which ultimately makes way for the Premium Plus and the Prestige.

What’s great about the A3 (generally speaking) is that it truly does offer a surprisingly dynamic driving experience. The car feels very balanced through corners and nippy through traffic. The e-tron is no different as it’s able to hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in about 7.6 seconds – very respectable, especially compared to something as slow as the Prius.

The A3 e-tron can also hit speeds of up to 222 km/h (137 mph), which basically makes it a very versatile and sufficiently quick premium hatchback, and about as fast as a 180 PS TFSI model.

So even though the car caused perhaps too much of a stir during this ‘New Arrival’ spot, people should indeed take notice and consider getting on the bandwagon.
