Are YOU having enough sex? One third of Brits can't remember last time they were intimate
SEXLESS relationships appear to be on the rise, as study finds one in three British couples forget the last time they had sex and some aren't even intimate at all.
Are you worried your sex life is lagging?
If you can remember the last time you were intimate, you’re doing a whole lot better than some, according to a new study.
The research, which polled people who are in long-term relationships or married, revealed Brits seem to be struggling in the bedroom.
Reportedly, one in three couples (32 per cent) are intimate so infrequently that they don't even remember the last time they had sex.
Alarmingly, some (10 per cent) respondents admitted to not even having sex at all.
The study also revealed a significant 61 per cent of Brits believe they had better sex in a previous relationship.
And the reason for such reduced time between the sheets?
Over one third of couples (38 per cent) aged 25-44 put it down to life 'getting in the way'.
Almost half (49 per cent) said it was due to a lack of confidence when communicating sexual desires.
As for the older generation, those aged 55+ hung it on health with 50 per cent saying they didn't feel as fit as they once did.
Co-Founder of The Fantasy Box, who conducted the study, Mariah Byrne said: "This research just shows how much are sex lives are suffering, and how much of an impact it's having on the happiness of even the most committed relationships...
"A happy sex life is one of, if not the most important element in a happy long term relationship. And it all starts with talking to your partner (and) sharing what you really want."
