Totally crazy and totally unsurprising

Unsurprising fact No. 1: Nicolas Cage paid $276,000 for a Tyrannosaurus bataar skull at auction in 2007.

Unsurprising fact No. 2: That dinosaur skull was stolen from Mongolia's Gobi Desert and sold by an infamous smuggler named Eric Prokopi, and Nicolas Cage has agreed to return it to Mongolia at the behest of the Department of Homeland Security.

Of course Nicholas Cage owns a stolen dinosaur skull. He probably puts it on and howls at the moon while wearing a silk bathrobe on his front lawn. Nothing Nicolas Cage can do at this point is the least bit surprising. This is the man who bought two castles and had to sell one because he owed millions in back taxes. The National Treasure movies may as well be documentaries about Cage's life.

The office of U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara has been working since 2012 to recover and return artifacts taken from Mongolia. According to theNew York Times, several Tyrannosaurus bataar skeletons have been returned to Mongolia in recent years.

We wonder what terrible movie Cage will have to make to help offset the loss of his prized dinosaur skull.
