2016 Lamborghini Aventador SV Price Announced

It may not be news, but the Lamborghini Aventador is crazy expensive. Prices for the all-new 2016 Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce start at $493,095, the automaker recently announced.
This total includes a $3495 destination fee and a nasty $3700 gas guzzler tax. The pricing was announced in conjunction with the Aventador SV's North American debut at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance in Florida.
The supercar, which originally Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce Revealed in Geneva" target="_blank">debuted at the Geneva motor show this year, packs a 6.5-liter V-12 that produces 740 hp. Power is sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed automated manual gearbox. Compared to the original Aventador, this model sheds 110 pounds thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber. Lamborghini estimates it should hit 62 mph in 2.8 seconds, with a top speed of more than 217 mph.
The Aventador SV is much more expensive than the all-new Huracan LP 610-4 we just tested at $269,305. But it's not the most expensive Lambo to grace this earth; the Veneno carried a price tag of about $3.9 million when it came out a few years ago. Like the Aventador SV, it also packs 740 hp, but only a handful of them were ever made.
