Jon Hamm’s Golden Globe Is Spelled Wrong

“Guys, there’s no H.”

Jon Hamm is a two-time Golden Globe winner and a six-time nominee. You’d think by now the Hollywood Foreign Press would know how to spell his name, right? And yet, while catching up with Vanity Fair’s executive west coast editor Krista Smith at the Sundance Film Festival, where he’s a juror this year, Hamm said that when his Golden Globe statue arrived in the mail, the name was spelled wrong. “Guys, there’s no H,” he pleaded, thinking maybe it’s not too late for a new name plate to set things right.

With Mad Men over and Hamm in no Sundance films this year, he’s done with the awards circuit for the moment. But while decked out in his Sundance cold-weather finest, he wouldn’t mind an award for “best scarf and hat”—preferably handed out by Mumford and Sons. And maybe his favorite member of that band, Dick van Dyke. Don’t get it? Watch the video; all will be revealed.
