Amazon made Prime an even greater deal this week by adding 20% off the latest games, but if that couldn’t persuade you to finally sign up, perhaps a discounted membership will.

This weekend only, a year of Prime will cost you just $73 — down from $99.

The discount kicks in at 9 p.m. PT this Friday, and runs until 11:59 p.m. local time on Sunday. Those who sign up during this time will pay just $73, and will enjoy exactly the same benefits as those who paid full-price for their Prime membership.

That includes free two-day shipping on thousands of items on Amazon.com, access to Prime Music and Video, unlimited cloud-based photo storage, free ebooks, and now 20% off the latest video games during pre-order and for two weeks after they launch.

The discount celebrates the Golden Globe win for the Amazon original series Mozart in the Jungle. The company is also making seasons one and two available for streaming to all this weekend — whether you decide to sign up to Prime or not.
