Majestic helps SEOs reach for the stars, literally, by aiming to 3-D print the internet in space.

Majestic, the popular SEO toolset, announced this morning that they are set to print the internet graph in 3-D while in outer space on the International Space Station.

Very late last night, at 11:05 p.m. ET on March 22, the Orbital ATK’s Cygnus spacecraft successfully launched from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, carrying with it many items, including the Majestic Internet graph.

On board is a 3-D printer designed to work in zero gravity that will print, in 3-D, the Majestic Landscape, representing a data visualization of the entire internet. The project is named #MajesticInSpace (MIS)

Here is a picture of what is expected to be printed:

Dixon Jones from Majestic said “every business wants to put itself on the map… We decided to take ourselves off the map,” he added.

  • Majestic is the first UK company to 3-D print anything in space.
  • No one has ever recreated the internet before in a physical form, let alone in 3-D on the ISS.
  • The data behind the 3-D visualization lies in Majestic’s unique ability to crawl the internet on a massive scale and tell which websites and pages are the most trustworthy across the web.
  • This will be one of the first commercial business transactions to ever be completed in space.
  • Majestic and MIS are literally creating a piece of sculpture out of mathematics in space.

How cool is that for the SEO industry and Majestic!

Dixon Jones from Majestic explains:

“Space has a huge symbolic significance for our team at Majestic. Like the internet, space is vast – possibly infinite. Like the internet, we are able to see and experience some of space, but much of it awaits to be discovered. This #MajesticInSpace project puts into perspective, not just the huge potential for Majestic to help businesses understand how to be more successful online, but sets in motion that idea that space is far from the final frontier of human and business potential.”
