Fabspeed Turns Up RRS’ Volume With Maxflo Performance Exhaust [w/Video]

As if the Range Rover Sport Supercharged wasn’t already loud thanks to its 510 PS V8 unit, the good people of Fabspeed thought to improve on an already delightful noise.

At first glance, the Maxflo exhaust system sort of turns that typical Jaguar-Land Rover V8 crackle into a sort of AMG-like crackle, which means that some might like it and other might not. Having said that, it’s still properly loud and technically an improvement considering the extra 8 WHP and 15 Nm (11 lb-ft) of torque gained.

Fabspeed designed the Maxflo in order to “emit a pleasant sound into the cabin with no droning” and are offering customers the chance to choose from two separate tip options – either Polished Chrome or Carbon Fiber.

The Range Rover Sport SC is one of the most luxurious performance SUVs on the market, featuring high levels of comfort, tech and performance, rolled into one. It may not be as agile or as quick as a Cayenne Turbo or X5 M, but with a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 5.3 seconds, it will still get you where you need to go in a hurry.

The slight power and torque gains might not make such a huge difference compared to some of the Range Rover Sport’s rivals, but Fabspeed say that the sound and power has been improved throughout the RPM range.

To top it all off, the team also got themselves an awesome-looking all-black RRS that could compete against this E71 BMW X6 M (also by Fabspeed) any day in terms of appearance.

Of course, the absolute fastest stock RRS version today remains the SVR with its 550 PS and 4.7 second 0-100 km/h sprint time.
