Very good, the app is pretty simple when you know how it works. One thing I would want for this smart light would to be able to control it with Google home or Google assistant.

    I love this! Love the fact that it has preset ambiences that I can choose from rather than just picking a color (I know it's in my head but it does add to the experience!), plus I like being able to upload a pic of my own to set a new color. Waking to the sunrise is a great feature! Downside is I do have to reset the Bluetooth connection from time to time but I still like this better than the Flux. Also wish it had a timer so it could be set to turn off at a certain time.

    I purchased a bunch of Bolt bulbs two years ago, they worked great, especially with the Misfit Bolt iOS app. Well, I was having issues with one of them, could not get the app to recognize it, made the mistake of signing out of the app. It’s gone. Evidently Fossil Group acquired Misfit and their Bolt bulbs some time ago, and decided to sunset the app, you can’t sign in, you can’t sign up, and if you delete the app, you can’t get it back. Which is fine, it no longer works anyway. Just giving everyone a heads up, I now own a group of very expensive bright white LED bulbs that no longer work with any app, so they really shouldn’t be selling them on Amazon anymore.

    This product helps me adjust to my changes in schedule at work. I usually have to wake up in strange hours. This doesn't take all the pain out of waking up early but the simulated sunrise is a huge help.

    I was frustrated at first with the sunrise feature when I was testing. Then I found out I wasn't allowing enough time for that function to work properly. The sunrise feature takes at least 30 minutes to work.

    The sunrise feature is not automated; so you have to manually do that every night from your phone. I hope they are eventually able to automate that through the mobile app. But until then, it is still a great product.

    Update: this product is even better when you have multiple in one room to use the full features of the app.

    Generally, I really like this light bulb. The color range is amazing (you can even set up your own) and the effects are really cool (candles, rainbow changing, clouds moving by, etc). I love to set the color to the movie/shows I'm watching or a pinkish yellow hue right before bed to really get my mind turned down.

    Even better than the Hue, you don't have to have a bridge to control it. Just plug it in your lamp and control it from your Bluetooth-activated smartphone. I don't have a modem or router so the Phillips system doesn't work with the internet system I have at home anyways.

    Only thing I'll like to see improved is the how you control the lights. The app is pretty easy but sometimes the connection isn't quick and I have to restart the app until it finally 'clicks' and then I can control the lights at last. Sometimes it just doesn't click so I just try again another day.

    Still, I really like the moods I can set in my home.

    After 6 months of use and 10 total bulbs, I have to update my rating.

    The app and the bulbs have deteriated in use.

    The manufacturer reminds you over and over again that you dont need a hub, hub free, save money, no hub. Well the individual to phone connectivity is clunky, and hardly reliable, requiring manual turning off and on of the app and or the bulbs.

    Additionally a lack of "hub" means no house hold connectivity, poor to no automatic turn offs and ons, no voice commands, and often (probably due to lack of app engineering investment) the app will forgwt your bulbs, and youll have to manually resort them in the proper rooms to use them in unison.

    Also the operating "drive" of the bulbs are clunky, for example i put on random rainbow colors for a room with 6 bulbs, 4 of them will follow the same pattern, naking the light show kind lopsided. I tried to fix this with mixing up the bulbs, the software is to weak to handle this basic feature.

    Finally, the costs are not necessarily any cheaper, these bulbs are not on the same level as hue or its hub competitors.

    These bulbs cannot boice command on or off, they cannot be put on timers reliably, they only work as far as low power blue tooth can reach your phone, they often get into error modes and have to be turned on and off, and the tie into the inferior misfit devices are poor as well.

    On a positive note the construction is nice, the lights themselves are lovely in brightness...

    Bottom line, if you want one or two bulbs for an office lamp or mood light, this will suffice, it is a waste of a lot of time and money otherwise.
