In fact, the Russo brothers teased the film's massive cast at Wizarding World New Orleans (via ComicBookMovie), saying, "We have so many characters we’re dealing with. We're breaking ground on Avengers: Infinity War. We have a board with 67 characters on it."
The pair of directors also said they plan to further explore the cosmic side of the MCU and incorporate elements of "psychological realism," with that serving as their focus as they move forward with Infinity War.Marvel's The Avengers: Infinity War, Part 1 is set to open in theaters on May 4, 2018.
