PULSE ASIA SURVEY

Majority of Pinoys still hopeful for the new year

Nine out of 10 Filipinos will face the coming new year with hope despite challenges, a recent Pulse Asia survey showed.

Asked "Will you face the coming year with/maybe with or without/without hope?", 89 percent of respondents said they will do so "with hope."

This is a slight improvement in the November 2014 figure of 88 percent facing the new year with hope.

In the Ulat ng Bayan survey conducted on December 4-11, 2015, 11 percent said they may face the new year with or without hope, while one percent said they will do so without hope.

For the subnational estimates for the geographic areas, error margins at 95 percent confidence level are as follows: ±6 percent for Metro Manila,  ± 3 percent for the rest of Luzon, and ± for Visayas and Mindanao.
