Tarrytown Artist Features at Harrison Library Exhibit

The artist typically paints on wood or fiberboard with oils.

An art exhibit in April at the Harrison Public Library will feature a Tarrytown artist.

The works of Dr. Alan M. Jacobson will be on display from April 2 through April 30.

An opening reception will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 9.

Jacobson’s typically paints in oils on plywood sheets, wood planks and medium-density fiberboard.

The subjects depicted are frequently isolated individuals, who are trying to make contact and/or comfort one another.

Jacobson is emeritus professor of psychiatry at Harvaard Medical School and is chief research officer at Winthrop University Hospital on Long Island.

The Harrison Public Library is located at 2 Bruce Ave. in Harrison.
