The Best and Worst Days to Travel Over the Holidays, According to Waze

We’re on the heels of Christmas and New Year’s, which means you can expect the roads to be packed. Waze has predicted the best and worst days to travel over the next couple of weeks.

Probably unsurprisingly, the best day to be on the road to avoid traffic is Christmas Day. But here are a few more findings, according to Conde Nast Traveler:

Meanwhile, the busiest day on the road this year is projected to be

Wednesday, December 23

. If you’re locked into traveling that day, hit the road early and plan ahead; the busiest window will be 3–6 p.m. Thursday, December 24 will also be congested all day with a peak in the evening...

Considering tacking one more day onto your holiday long weekend? If you can swing it,

Monday, December 28

will be a much lighter, less stressful day on the road, particularly if you leave after noon.

Waze got their finding from analyzing user data, the same method they used to predict Thanksgiving traffic this year. For more detail and days to avoid, head to the link below.
