'Ant-Man' gets a tiny billboard campaign

Small is beautiful. That’s the message of the new Marvel superhero movie Ant-Man and its advertising campaign, which is currently promoting the film Down Under. According to commenters on Reddit, tiny (and immovable) Ant-Man billboards have appeared in a number of public spaces in Australia. As one contributor was moved to note, channeling the spirit of Ron Burgundy, “I guess you’d call that a small ad! (Sensible news anchor chuckle).”

Rumors that Marvel will promote the start of production on Guardians of the Galaxy 2 by unleashing a gaze of machine gun-toting raccoons in Times Square could not be confirmed at the time of writing. (I know, right? Apparently, it’s a gaze of raccoons. You learn something every day!)

Ant-Man opens in U.S. theaters on July 17. You can see one of the teeny-tiny billboards above.
