Addie and Zeke have a love that only comes along once in a lifetime. The kind that little girls dream about and movies are made to portray. A love so encompassing that even after years apart and heartache just one look at the other person reignites their very souls. After their break up Addie has no idea how she will win Zeke back but she is determined to do so, well at least once she puts the bull from her new reality past her. When she learns that she will once again be living next door to Zeke it seems like fate. Zeke is floored when he sees Addie again after so long but there is no denying that once he laid eyes on her he finally felt like he could breathe again. Yet there is something different about Addie the light that usually shines behind her eyes is all but extinguished and he will do anything to bring it back. While they try to settle into their new roles in each other’s lives one thing is undeniable; the love that they share is still burning bright in both of them. Now they just how to figure out how to survive through Addie’s agreement so they can have the lives they were meant to. Bangor Belle Book Besties
This book is the Second book in this Series and i would highly recommend reading the first book Ignite first. This Duet is also the first books i have read by this author but certainly won't be the last.
This book takes up 2 years after Addie and Zeke have split up due to pressures and misunderstandings, yet neither have really moved forward with their personal lives and are both still longing for and in love with each other.
Addie has switched University to take up Veterinary Medicine, but also has hopes of reuniting with Zeke as she will now be in the same place. Zeke is stunned with Addie turns up as his hated neighbor Chad's girlfriend and moves in. Little do they know, their problems are just beginning !!
I really enjoyed this 2nd part of this Duet. The passion and steam coming from Addie and Zeke was smoking hot !!! Addie has secrets she has to keep but the one thing he finds impossible is resisting Zeke. Oh what a twisted ride we go on. I found this book kept me turning the pages, though at times i felt it slow a little here and there. Now into their twenties i found both Addie and Zeke's method of solving issues a little immature. Zeke was protective of Addie but he seemed a little weak to me at times. But none of that took away from the story and it was engaging to the point that i had to finish it in one sitting!! When life threatening danger Lurks and presents itself, I loved how both Addie and Zeke would rather sacrifice themselves rather than the other. I loved that Addie's character developed sass and back bone which she lacked previously due to her kind heart and the past of being bullied! Definitely a must read, hot, steamy, suspense and a super read !!!

I adore this series and this author. Ms. Benson reaches the perfect balance between the positive and negative to maintain the tension and interest in the story. I enjoy her quirky characters and unusual circumstances, and the storyline continues to be unpredictable, deliciously sensual, and highly entertaining. There was considerable drama, subterfuge, and thrilling adventure to be had in this volume, which I read in a day as I unable to put it down for long. Both books in this series, Ignite and Smolder, were well paced and craftily written. The plot was interesting with unexpected twists I didn’t see coming, and the writing was often emotive and touching, as well as divinely steamy. I have a new favorite author to rave about.

I cannot get enough of this author, she is amazing she writes twist turns that cause you to have to put the book down and slow your heart beat down. Addie and Zeke have a love that is tested to the limits and they may not be able to come back from the poor decisions of others. Addi must face the consequences and will Zeke understand her reasons why she has to do what is needed to be free....I loved this story!

OMG! This book had me on the edge of my seat. I love Zeke and Addie's story and Kate does an amazing job telling it. Chad continues to make his presence known during the book, but Zeke doesn't give up. It was such a wonderful ending to this beautiful couple and their story. Another wonderful book from Kate!

Smoulder starts as Ignite finishes.
There are so many twists and turns in this book you don’t see coming.
Addie and Zeke you connect with straight away, they have so much chemistry and a love that cannot be broken no matter how hard someone tries to break them.
This was an emotional read which not only took us on their friends to lovers journey but also took us to other life events where Addie is forced into situations she should never be placed in.
Amazing read that has a SNAP moment you totally high five

I honestly could not put this book die down, in my desire to see what would happen next; at the same time, I didn’t want the book to end. What a strong, female lead character Addie is, one wanting to fix her own problems without involving others; particularly Zeke. Zeke has always been very protective of Addie, attracting unwanted attention because of this, but staying true to his best friend, regardless of what the ‘in crowd’ had to say. Addie gets herself into a big mess, not wholly of her own making, and is determined to face it alone, of course, Zeke has other ideas and together they navigate dangerous waters, in the hope that it will mean they can be together. Fast paced, page turning action and steamy romance; a terrific piece of escapism.

Absolutely LOVED this book!!! I was excited yet nervous about being reunited with one of my favorite book couples, Addie and Zeke. I was unsure how all this was going to turn out after finishing the first book, Ignite. But, I shouldn’t have worried…I mean we are talking about the amazing Kate Benson here. Smolder continues the sweet and “smoldering” relationship between Zeke and Addie. The two have a plan to finally get Addie out from under the sleazy and dangerous Chad. They try to keep their distance, but their love and desire for each other make it very difficult. Along the way, they find some allies who will help them meet in secret. But, is that enough? Will Addie and Zeke find a way to finally be free and get the HEA they have been denied for too long?
Smolder had all the spice, sweetness, and heat that I wanted, yet there were some twists and secrets that I didn’t see coming…some good and some not so good. We finally get to see Chad’s true motive for keeping Addie under his thumb. As the two become even closer, I realized even more that these two were destined to be together. Their relationship makes you believe in destiny, soul mates, and romance that is written in the stars, even though they have to go through so much pain and sacrifice to be together. Each character matured more throughout the book, and I really loved seeing Addie grow into a woman who stood up to the “bullies” in her life. You rock, Addie! The epilogue was just the perfect icing on the cake….it was perfect for Addie and Zeke!

I picked up her first book, The Promise, just over a year ago, and with each book and each series, she continues to grow with each book she writes. Each of her series is different, and each character is different, but as an avid reader, I know she writes from the heart…it’s something she enjoys, and I know her characters come from the heart. All of those emotions come across in every book she writes. I am always looking forward to seeing what she is writing next. Another great book, Kate!!!!

Kate Benson has done it again with Smolder, she picks up right where she left off in Ignite and you will be hooked like if you were hooked on crack. You will want to continue reading this beautiful love story to see where it takes us. The story of Zeke and Addie has literally blown me away. It was intriguing, captivating, sad, funny, intense and my, my the sex scenes would make me blush as I read through them.
This story continues on the journey of Zeke and Addie, it will leave your emotions all over the place. So much happens with Zeke and Addie and to have to suffer through the book and watch them suffer for their love. Addie has made a bad decision but one that she thinks will help her father who got involved in shady stuff. But due to his bad decisions, it has left Addie in a bad position and now the love between her and Zeke is suffering. They are unable to see each other freely or be with each other freely and it would break my heart every time.
What I loved about Addie is that her confidence grew and she's not that geeky, weird girl anymore. Her love for Zeke has grown much stronger and Zeke has never stopped loving Addie, she's all he ever thought of even after Addie broke his heart. But in this 2nd installment, they make their love grows and they make it work as best they can.
I can guarantee you that you will not be disappointed in reading this series, it has been classified as one of the best for me this year as a series. Kate Benson did an exceptional job but that doesn't surprise me because her books are phenomenal. They have a way to capture your attention and leave you addicted without a doubt.

Holy Emotions Batman! Kate Benson hit it out of the park with Smolder. I freakin LOVED this story.
Two years after a misunderstanding pulls Addision Greyson and Zeke Turner's life apart, fate steps in to fix it. However, the reunion is not simple. Addie has a sordid arrangement to save her father, a secret she vowed to keep, that has her reality all kinds of twisted. She returns to Zeke a very different girl. However, since they are meant to be together, their attraction to each other is too much to deny, so they reunite in secret. Their feelings are stronger than ever, but they have to fight hard to stay together. It's not easy, as it seems they are fighting the world to be together. Will they be able to fight to the finish to be together in the open, or will they learn that somethings are best kept secret?
I absolutely LOVED this book and series. I believe this story was my very favorite from this author. Kate Benson destroyed my emotions in Smolder. I couldn't turn the pages quickly enough. Smolder had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and my finger nails almost didn't make it to the end. It has serious angst and suspense throughout the whole book. Addie and Zeke, along with the other secondary characters, are very easy to love, and cheer for. I was pulled into the book, like a spectator, watching their lives in person. As much as I loved Addie, and I did totally love her, I was itching to choke her because she thought she could save the ones she loved on her own, which almost made her a martyr. But had she not been like that, she wouldn't have been the free spirited Addie. Smolder is a very well written, brilliantly beautiful love story. Do yourself a favor, and read this book and series. Can't HIGHLY recommend Smolder and Kate Benson enough.

As this journey between Zeke and Addison comes to a close the heartache can be felt by all. The much anticipation that the heeling can finally begin will be a twisty one as this author brings us to a world of the unknown. We learn more about the mind of a distressed and controlling soul. Can this one (Chad) get his just deserts in the end or will he have the final say into the happily ever after of Zeke and Addison.
The sex between Zeke and Addison is hidden like chocolate chips in a cookie you never know which bite will have the delectable goodness surprise. The chips alone are hidden at times just like Zeke and Addison sexual encounters you never know where the taste will pop.
To the author: This read seriously needs to come with a warning sign on it. Screaming towel needed no doubts. Twizzler’s are must. This was a heck of a journey one that will have your readers twisting in their seats for and never want to end. Kudos

What can I say about this book other than AMAZING!!!
Smolder picks up exactly where we finished Ignite, but is it all over for Zeke and Addie before they've even had a chance to rebuild their relationship?
I fell in love with Zeke and Addie in book 1 Ignite, where we saw them go from friends to lovers, only to be torn apart for 2 years, then to find each other again but life's never that easy and Zeke and Addie have one major obstacle in their way before they can finally be together 'Chad'
He is one major scumbag and will stop at nothing to get what he wants no matter who he hurts in the process and what he wants is Addie.
Smolder will pick away at all your emotions there are parts that will have you laughing out loud but there are some real heartfelt moments to that will definitely bring a tear to your eye. You will definitely fall more in love with these characters as you read this book Kate Benson just seems to have this way of pulling you in with her writing style and the characters she creates. This book deserves more than 5 stars and I'm excited to see what Kate gives us next.

Smolder is book two in the Ignite series. It can not be read as a standalone, you must read book 1 Ignite first. Smolder picks up where Ignite left off.
Addie is still in her arrangement with Chad but her feelings for Zeke are still there. Chad is a very interesting character. I didn't like Chad but he is definitely intriguing. He is weird and creepy at some points but I kept trying to figure him out. Chad will stop at nothing to keep Addie from getting out of their arrangement. Addie and Zeke's love is so strong nothing can keep them apart. They keep their relationship a secret from Chad. I loved Addie and Zeke together. There were a few things that they did in secret that I was happy for them but also was like what are they thinking doing that.
Smolder is a great read that has a perfect balance of romance and suspense, that will keep you at the edge of your seat.

this is book 2 and must be read after Ignite. this book will have you by the edge of your seat. I swear of Kate didn't try pulling your heart out and putting it back together Inna book it just wouldn't be her. This book did just that for me. Addie life has become a nightmare. Will she ever be free of it? can her and Zeke have the future they want together and have been denied for so long?
another fantastic, brilliant amazing book by Kate. I can 100% say she is an author I will gladly 1 click and buy her books without even reading what it's about because no matter what you can't not fall in love with her characters or the stories she tells.

This is a must read
Smoulder is book two in The Ignite series, Kate has done it again, totally pulled at my heart and emotion's, you must read Ignite before Smoulder. You will be on the edge of your seat wanting to know what will happen next, has Kate has this ability to get you sucked into the story and then put a twist on it, that leaves you second guessing. Will Addie ever be free, from the hell she is having to live with, And escape The nightmare her life has become. Will Zeke and Addie get their life and future they so desperately want ..... Smoulder is book two in The Ignite series, Kate has done it again, totally pulled at my heart and emotion's, you must read Ignite before Smoulder. You will be on the edge of your seat wanting to know what will happen next, has Kate has this ability to get you sucked into the story and then put a twist on it, that leaves you second guessing. Will Addie ever be free, from the hell she is having to live with, And escape The nightmare her life has become. Will Zeke and Addie get their life and future they so desperately want ..... Not realizing this was book #2 in a series did not change the power behind this story. It is obviously capable of being a standalone story. I have not read book 1 so not sure if or how it ties in. Ms Benson grabs the readers attention early on and does not let go for the entire ride.
This is the story of Zeke and Addie. 2 souls that are obviously supposed to be joined. You follow them through trials and one disaster after another. Yet it is 100% believable. Not at any point did I think, "Seriously?! There's no way in hell..."
Great job all the way to the last sentence. The only thing that was a little off was that it took too long to find out the "main" issue in the story. I found that slightly annoying, but not so much I am not thoroughly looking forward to more from this author.

Well Kate Benson does it again !!! This woman is amazing and I can't praise her work highly enough. This is the 2nd book in the ignite series. Once again I was sent on a roller coaster ride of every emotion imaginable. This book will have you gripped from the start and just like in the 1st book your love for addie and zeke continues to grow throughout. There were some serious OMG moments where yes I admit had me shouting at my kindle, some heart breaking moments but best of all lots and lots of melt your heart moments. Thank you Kate again for sharing ur amazing stories with us all.

Wow just wow! This book had me on the edge of my seat. I love Zeke and Addie's story and Kate absolutely did an amazing job telling it. Chad does make his presence known , but Zekes love doesn't give up. It was such a wonderful ending to this beautiful couple and their story. This series is one of my favorite. Kate is an amazing author, and I am always waiting with anticipation for one of her new releases! 5 beautiful star well deserved!

I received this for an honest review... I have to say I was BLOWN away.. This story which is a continuation of Ignite was OMG amazing.. Once I picked it up I could not put it down.. I found myself immediately pulled into their story and the hotness that is this book!!!
As always Kate takes me into a world that I just don't want to leave. The book and writing flow like a well oiled machine that is Kate and her writing...

Kate Benson has done it once again! Smolder is book two in the Ignite Series. It picks up where Ignite, book one left off so if you haven't read it yet get it now! This was such a beautiful love story with many twists and turns that left me a crazy mess wonder what would happen next, and had my heart melting and swooning at the same time! I absolutely loved Addie and Zeke!!! Definitely a story of true love and how it can conquer all! 5 amazing ☆'s all the way!!!

She's done it again, smolder continues in Addie and Zekes epic love story. Kate Benson has created another page turner with an epic love story that proves that love can push people towards extraordinary lives. 5 stars from me

Kate, you did it again ! What an amazing second book, absolutely loved it. After reading the first one it left me wanting to know what happened to Zeke & Addie, but I'm glad that I have finally finished their story ! The ending was so sweet x

Great series. I really enjoyed their story. I only wished the situation would have cleared up a bit quicker and we could have seen more of their life together.
