NK Man Registers .211 BAC During DUI arrest

Police said the 29-year-old local man admitted to having "a few too many" at Kingstown Bowl.

North Kingstown police charged 29-year-old Jason DiSalvo of North Kingstown with driving under the influence on Sunday after an officer saw him swerve erratically on Post Road after pulling out of the Kingstown Bowl parking lot at around 1:22 a.m.

Police said DiSalvo briefly drove in the wrong lane as he swerved erratically down Post Road.

Once stopped, he failed a field sobriety test and later registered a blood alcohol readings of .188, .208 and .211 in three preliminary breath tests. The legal limit in Rhode Island is .08.

DiSalvo allegedly told police that he had “a few too many” at Kingstown Bowl before getting into his Ford Ranger and driving.

He was taken into custody without incident and later released with summons to appear in Third Division District Court at a later date.
