State Police: Yonkers Man, 28, Charged with Impaired Driving

The incident occurred on I-87 in Yonkers.

Yonkers resident Jonathan Pena, 28, was arrested by state police Saturday, Oct. 3, on a charge of Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, according to authorities.

The incident occurred at about 10:22 p.m. on I-87 in Yonkers. During a traffic stop, troopers found Pena to be “impaired by drugs.”

He was transported and processed at the state police facility in Tarrytown, where he was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). Pena submitted to blood analysis to determine the drug content in his system and was charged with the above listed unclassified misdemeanor.

Pena was turned over to a sober third party and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the City of Yonkers Court on Oct. 29 at 10:00 a.m.
