DoubleTree by Hilton Tarrytown to Again Offer Unique/Fun Ways to Celebrate the Holidays

The celebration and value will continue for New Year’s Eve revelers who take advantage of the New Year’s Eve Murder Mystery Overnight Package.  For just $389 plus tax, a couple will enjoy a cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres; a delicious buffet dinner with courses and desserts galore; complimentary open bar, a champagne toast at midnight; music DJ.; dancing; overnight deluxe accommodations; breakfast buffet on New Year’s Day and an hilarious interactive murder mystery show, presented by The Killing Kompany, New York’s leading comedy mystery theatre group.

The 12 Days of Christmas dinner menu, which will be served at the on-premises Bistro Z (the popular modern bistro), begins with a choice of appetizers—lobster bisque, baby arugula, chilled octopus and scungilli cocktail, duck prosciutto and foies gras mousse and duck confit and apple ravioli with truffle napa cabbage and shitake mushrooms. Choose from four entrees:

• Grilled swordfish served with a white wine artichoke broth with lemon scented heirloom potatoes and braised spinach.
• Rabbit stew with root vegetables and house-made herb noodles
• Chicken breast with gigante beans, haricot vert, roasted red pepper, olives and preserved tomato relish.
• Pan seared pepper crusted Rib Eye steak with horseradish mashed potatoes, haricot vert and roasted baby carrots.

Conclude the holiday meal with either a chocolate polenta cake, eggnog crème brule or baked apple strudel with Kentucky bourbon anglaise.

The New Year’s Eve Murder Mystery Overnight Package gets underway on Thursday evening, December 31 and continues until the morning of New Year’s Day, Friday, January 1. Along the way, there will be a lot of fun, food, dancing, merriment and, oh yes, suspense and intrigue because someone will be murdered during the end-of-year party and guests will be challenged to figure out who done it before leaving the premises the next day.

Professional Broadway, TV and film actors will be concealed among the guests and evidence will be created in which the audience is implicated as suspects. Prizes will be awarded to the winner who can guess who did the deadly deed.  Guests won’t have to know any lines or do anything other than just be themselves and have fun.

The festivities get underway at 6:30 PM when guests will meet and mingle with the characters over cocktails and uncover important clues. It is followed at 7:30 PM with a delicious buffet dinner prepared by Bistro Z’s very talented culinary team.

There will be stations with soft and hard cheeses with crusty bread,  tricolor tortellini with creamy Alfredo, chicken empanada, seasonal fruit bites, fig puree and pasta and grilled and pickled vegetables.

The dinner buffet offerings will include fresh garden salad, wild mushroom bisque and red and white quinoa, kale and herbed tomatoes with a garlic white wine broth; sliced strip loin of beef with glazed balsamic pearl onions; chicken breast with banana and cherry peppers with a garlic white win broth;  broiled tilapia with gigante beans, heirloom tomatoes and fried capers; baked ziti and spinach with ricotta cream, green patty pan with yellow sunburst squash, baby carrots with parsley; tricolor roasted potatoes and dill butter and freshly baked rolls and butter.

For dessert, a signature white and dark chocolate river will flow with marshmallows, rice Krispy treats pretzel rods, graham cracker and fresh fruit, mini pastries, cookies, cakes, brownies, pies, pound cake, mini cupcakes, macaroons, blondies and mini cheesecake.

Guests will also dance to music provided by a DJ, interact with the characters and join in welcoming in 2016 with a champagne toast at midnight. Party hats and noisemakers will be provided to help ring in the New Year

New Year’s Day morning will feature a delicious buffet breakfast, followed by the

  identity and arrest of the murderer, bringing to an end to this year’s edition of the
