DETROIT, MI – NewsFix is spanning the country for today’s reefer roundup.

Dateline: Detroit, where one dude takes his pot growing seriously. Too seriously.

Police say they busted a guy suspected of booby-trapping his neighborhood to protect his medical pot-growing operation.

An explosive device injured another man walking in a field on Detroit’s west side.

Cops searched the field and found two other unexploded devices they called booby-traps.

A nearby homeowner said he set them out to protect his medical marijuana plants.

Police say he’s cooperating, even providing a map showing other explosives. He has a license to grow medical marijuana, but cops say he’s higher than his limit.

Yeah, in more ways than one.

Dateline: Port St. Lucie, Florida  where cops arrested a mother and three other individuals, two men and a woman, for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

But that’s not all.

Cops say when they went to the house, they found a 6-month old baby wrapped in a blanket full of marijuana.

“She is ingesting all that. She can smell it. You walk into the house and you can smell it,” said Frank Sabol with the Port St. Lucie police.

Cops say the home was filthy and unlivable, filled with broken glass, mold, and roaches.

The girl’s mother was nowhere to be found when swat officers showed up.

Police say one guy is a felon. They charged him with possessing a firearm, one they’ve tied to a burglary.

The baby is with the Florida Department of Children and Families.

She may have been found rolled up in a reefer blanket, but there’s a good chance her mother and friends will spent some time in a joint.
