On Sunday December 6, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Tarrytown Neighborhood House, 43 Wildey Street, Mayor Drew Fixell and Solarize Tarrytown invite you to a workshop, to show people exactly what a solar installation looks like. Solarize Tarrytown, supported by New York State and sponsored by the Village of Tarrytown, makes solar easy and affordable for homeowners and small businesses.
Sunrun, the installer chosen by Solarize Tarrytown, will be bringing a solar panel to demonstrate how it works. They will tell you how it’s made, what it’s made of, and the ways it can be mounted on your roof. They will also bring a solar microinverter, explain what it does, how it connects and where it is mounted. There will be installers at the workshop, so you can talk to the people who will actually do the work on your house.
This workshop is a real hands-on event, designed to make you familiar with what exactly happens if you decide to have a solar installation. You will be able to sit down and work out how the installation might look and what considerations there might be for your particular roof. You can also ask questions about code requirements and building permits (and remember, the Village is a partner in this enterprise). And, of course, you’ll learn about the financing options that enable you to achieve as much as 30% savings on your electric bill, with no money down.

This workshop is one of a series arranged by Solarize Tarrytown and sponsored by the Tarrytown Environmental Advisory Council (TEAC) for the Village of Tarrytown.
