Unlike traditional Philips Hue light bulbs that plug into your existing features, the Hue Bloom is a standalone lamp meant that you point at a wall to bathe a room in accent lighting. But of course, it can still output any color under the sun, and adhere to schedules and IFTTT recipes too.

This starter kit comes with two Bloom lights (normally $80 each) and a bridge to control them for just $100. As an added bonus, you can use the same Bridge with the rest of the Philips Hue line, so you’ll be well on your way to outfitting your entire house with smart lighting. [Philips Friends of hue 120 Lumen, 8W Bloom Luminaire Starter Kit, $100]

It might still be nice enough outside to use your barbecue, but winter is coming, and you’ll need a good way to grill indoors. Luckily, this 12” cast iron grill pan from Lodge is down to $27 on Amazon today, an all-time low.

Lodge, of course, makes the most popular cast iron skillets on the market, and user reviews indicate that this grill pan is up to their usual lofty standards. That means that as long as you take proper care of the pan, it should last for the rest of your life. [Lodge Pro-Logic Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Square Grill Pan, 12-inch, $27]

Need a little push to get off the couch? The Fitbit Charge is one of the best fitness trackers you can buy (though sadly this model doesn’t have a heart rate monitor), and you can get one for just $100 today, which is one of the best deals we’ve ever seen. [Fitbit Charge Wireless Activity + Sleep Tracker Wristband, $100]

If you prefer to buy from Amazon, they also have it for $2 more.

I bought my first Timbuk2 backpack a couple years ago, and as long as they’re in business, I don’t see myself ever buying another brand. If you want to experience their quality yourself, you can save 25% sitewide today with code ROADTRIP, and an extra 20% on regularly priced items too using code RIDEFREE.

All of their custom items are assembled in San Francisco, and everything bag they sell comes with a lifetime warranty too, so buy with confidence.

Google’s Chromecast has been kicking around for quite awhile, and if you still own any TVs without one attached, you can fix that for just $23 today. That’s $19 + $4 shipping, but if you find something else on Groupon Goods (say, a second Chromecast) to bring your order over $30, it’ll ship for free. When you add in the special offers available to Chromecast owners, including a free movie rental, it’s a steal. [Refurb Google Chromecast, $19 + $4 shipping with code code VISA5]

This Silicon Power microSD card might not be as popular as options from Samsung or SanDisk, but $20 is one of the best prices we’ve ever seen for a 64GB card. [Silicon Power, 64GB MicroSD Card, $20]

$8 would be a good price for a smartphone running armband or a waterproof smartphone case. Today, that’s all it costs to get both.

The Humble Store just unveiled their end of summer sale, and it’s a doozy. The highlight is a copy of Stealth Inc. 2 for free, no strings attached, but my favorite deal here is the Build-Your-Own Telltale bundle.

All of Telltale’s games are deeply discounted right off the bat, but you can save extra by buying three or more. For example, if you want the complete first season of Telltale’s Game of Thrones, just add it to your cart along with the three $.99 games on the promo page, and you’ll get all of them for less than $8. That’s by far the best deal we’ve seen on Game of Thrones, and you can apply the same trick to Tales From the Borderlands, The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead, and more.

Be sure to check out the rest of the sale, as Humble’s included over 1,000 deals. We’ve included a few highlights below, but let us know what you found in the comments. [Humble Store]

If you own an iPhone, you can never have too many Lightning cables.

How do you improve your favorite foods? By dipping them in cheese or chocolate, of course. This highly-rated Cuisinart fondue set has everything you need to get started for just $36 today, including eight forks, four trays, and an adjustable electric heating element. [Cuisinart CFO-1000 Lazy Susan Electric Fondue Maker, $36]

Note: The $36 price is from a third party seller. If they sell out, Amazon has it for $42, which is the lowest price they’ve ever offered directly.

You can’t control these power outlets with your smartphone, or tie them to IFTTT recipes like the Belkin WeMo line, but they sell for a tiny fraction of the cost of their smarter brethren, and can be controlled from across the room via the included remote. It’s only a half-measure towards creating a smart home, to be sure, but they might be worth a look at the price. [3-Pack Etekcity Programmable Wireless Remote Control Electrical Outlet Light Switch, $15 with code REMOU8FF]

I hear nothing but good things about Roombas, and if you want to try one out yourself, a few high end models are on sale today on Amazon. The Roomba 870 is $90 off its usual price, the 880 is $105 off, and if you need a robotic mop to go with it, the Braava 380t is also discounted $45 from its usual price. [iRobot Sale]

Deals on truly portable, USB-powered hard drives have mostly been limited to 2TB capacities and smaller, but today you can save $20 on the 3TB WD My Passport Ultra in the color of your choice. On a price-per-gigabyte basis, you could do better with a 5TB desktop hard drive, but if you don’t want to deal with an AC power supply, this is a fantastic deal. [3TB WD My Passport Ultra, $130]

While I’d argue that this bonus-packed bundle is a better deal overall, if you want to buy a PS4, and your primary concern is spending as little as possible, this $50 discount is about as good as it gets. Plus, no sales tax for most. [PS4 Console + The Last of Us Remastered, $350]

If you were planning on getting the Steam controller anyway, preordering it today will net you a copy of Rocket League and Portal 2. The controller doesn’t ship until November, but you’ll get the games by September 4. [Pre-order Steam Hardware (Controller or Link) and get Rocket League and Portal 2 for Free]

Fallout 4 isn’t out until November, but you can save $15 $13 on your PC preorder courtesy of Green Man Gaming, or $7 on PS4 or Xbox One from Amazon, if you’re a Prime member.

Preorder Fallout 4 ($47) | Green Man Gaming | Use code PAYDAY-22PERC-OFFNOW

Preorder Fallout 4 ($53) [PS4/Xbox One] | Amazon | Prime members only. Discount shown at checkout.

In case you missed it yesterday, Amazon’s currently running one of the best Kindle ebook sales I’ve ever seen. Some of the titles have gone back to their regular price, but smash hits like The Martian, Ready Player One, and Game of Thrones are still marked down to $2 each, just to name a few. [Kindle Sale]

Anker makes some of the most popular charging gear in the world, and they’ve put several of their most popular items on sale today, including their brand new (and ridiculously powerful) PowerCore charger.

If you like to tinker around under the hood of your car, this Craftsman mechanics tool set is down to $100 today, breaking the rarified $.50/tool barrier. [Craftsman 230-pc. Mechanic’s Tool Set, $100]

If your car has an AUX jack, but not Bluetooth, this kit can add wireless streaming and handsfree calls for just $17. Even by our standards, that’s incredibly cheap for a kit like this, particularly one with NFC pairing. [GOgroove BlueGATE CTR Hands-Free Bluetooth Car Kit, $20 with code SAVEBLU1]

KMASHI’s ultra-cheap USB battery packs are some of the best-selling items we’ve ever posted, and you can choose from deals on two high capacity models today.
