This was by far the most WTF affair in Skins history. That's all there really is to say.

This short lived fling gave Anwar a chance to engage in a romantic relationship (and lose his virginity), but it wasn't an overly captivating romance.

It was rather obvious that Katie was a nice distraction for Freddie to attempt to get over Effy. We all knew it was never going to last.

Liv goes from one brother to the other and tries to ignore Matty's strong connection with Franky. But as much as poor Liv tries to hold onto the romance, Matty just didn't seem to be all that into it - and ends up cheating on her with Franky.

Sid and Michelle basically use each other to get over Tony and Cassie respectively, so you know, it was never going to work.

Sweet, lovable JJ finally has his chance of love with Lara, a single mother in season four. While their relationship has it's ups and downs, it seems to hold steady. But does anyone really care all that much?

Thomas and Pandora had their ups and downs, and did seem destined to be together. But they were also incredibly boring.

OK, so Cook and Naomi only hooked up once or twice. But what followed was a strange but endearing friendship, that saw the two help each other out during life's rough moments.

A teacher-student relationship is never going to work out, but these two were a bit of fun to watch for a while. Even if viewers did ponder that Chris was chasing an older woman because of his major abandonment issues, which kind of ruined the fun, flirty vibe.

Regardless of Sketch's crazy attempts to keep these two apart, the season ends with the cute couple jumping on board a bus to London and hopefully living happily ever after.

There's no reason to sugarcoat it - Tony and Michelle were two of the most selfish people on the planet. So they basically deserved each other. Regardless, for some reason you still wanted them to work it out in the end.

Oh Freffy. The tortured love story of these two still brings a tear to the eye. In some ways they were so so perfect for each other - who can forget their first kiss in the lake? In other ways they were just too damn problematic. Then after doing everything he can to help Effy, Freddie is the one to get killed off? So not fair.

Sid and Cassie, though an odd couple, truly did love each other - even if they sucked at communicating. Season two ends with Sid trying to chase down Cassie in New York and you desperately hoped they'd end up happily ever after. Shout-out to season seven for ruining that dream.

Dramatic barely begins to cover the tumultuous relationship Naomily had. But they were a huge fan favourite, and somehow always managed to work it out in the end, amidst a lot of tears. Then of course, season seven once again came along to ruin everything.

Chris and Jal went from good friends to lovers and really seemed genuinely happy together. Until Chris fucks it up by sleeping with Angie again. Eventually Chris and Jal get back together (even though she is harbouring the secret of being pregnant with his child), only for Chris to die from a subarachnoid hemorrhage. Because there's no such thing as happy endings in the world of Skins.

Rich and Grace were perfection. They may adhere to the old cliché of "opposites attract" but they were the one couple on the show who truly adored each other while also appearing to be one of the few Skins couples to never cheat on each other. So of course the writers then had to kill off Grace, and ruin one of the most perfect couples ever. Still not over it.
