Fans of Netflix originals like Jessica Jones, Daredevil, House of Cards, and Orange is the New Black already know this to be true. According to The Verge, this success is two-fold—because of Netflix's expansion, other networks are wary about licensing to the streaming service. Netflix has "to make even more of its own original content to remain competitive."
Netflix is also working 10 new feature length films, 30 childrens' shows, 12 documentaries, and 10 stand-up specials. Two of the new shows we can expec are both Marvel titles —Luke Cage and Daredevil's second season. It's not clear yet when Iron Fist, which just hired a showrunner, will debut, but the new season of Daredevil will begin in 2016.
The first season of Jessica Jones released last month, and we've got reviews for the entire season. Nicole is a freelance writer for IGN. You can follow her on Twitter @sweetpotatoes. She watched 14 hours of Jessica Jones this weekend.
