(April 12, 2015) – A restaurant owner in Oklahoma recently noticed a dumpster diver had been rummaging through the trash looking for food.

She told KFOR that it broke her heart to know that someone was so desperate for food  that they resorted to digging through the trash. So she decided to help the person out.

So she put a sign on the dumpster and at the front door that says:

“To the person going through our trash for their next meal, you’re a human being and worth more than a meal from the dumpster. Please come in during business hours for a classic Pb&j, fresh veggies, and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked. – your friend, the owner.”

He owner told KFOR that no one has come in yet and she will not take the sign down until that person takes her up on her offer.
