— DESIGN —
This controller is more than a shiny object, this feels like a futuristic wireless game controller. It comes in a matte silver/gray finish with hints of shiny blue accents, with laser-etched detailing [see photos] (Excuse the magenta lighting on my photos; it's not the colored highlight of the controller but my magenta lamp on the side). I even got a matching charging stand with two rechargeable battery packs as part of a promotion. The texture feels nice and non-slippery, and the none of the printing has worn off after hours and hours of gameplay.
— PLAYING —
I've never had an Xbox One controller before and this made a great first impression on me. I thought the button positioning was intuitive and comfortable to use, and the buttons themselves are accurate and responsive. My first game played with this was 'Resident Evil 4 HD Edition' on Steam, and this controller registers those last-minute button prompts quickly to avoid instant deaths. The texture on the directional sticks allows for great contact with your fingers to allow for accurate controls. The buttons press nicely and smoothly.
— ACCESSORY NEEDED —
Since I bought this to mainly play PC games, I had to get the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows to make it work with my PC. After you plug the adapter into a USB port on your computer and sync it with the controller, hit the white "X" button on the top of the controller anytime you want to be connected; easy peasy.
— SUMMARY —
This is a terrific controller that feels natural in my hands and very responsive in gameplay. There is also an alternate green Master Chief version which is just as sleek, and I might get it to match as its twin. These are certain to be sold out and become collector's items in the future. It's gorgeous, get two! Recommended.

I already have a Titanfall controller, and the Guardians one is the next to fill in my player two.
Compared to a regular controller, the limited edition is dimensionally pretty much exactly the same. The handling is no different, the sticks and buttons all operate the same when I'm playing games, so there is nothing to 'adapt' to. The finish is great, and covered in a thin layer of satin to prevent undue wear over time of the outer design.
There are two strange glossy rectangles on the bottom of the unit on the handle grips, not sure what they're for. Potentially for setting down the controller?
Considering the current cost of XBox One controllers right now, you may as well just splurge a little to pick up one of these 'limited' controllers, they attract a LOT of attention and just look amazing.
Pros
1. Looks really cool. The blue d pad is a nice touch, and there are little bits of writing and texture all over the place. It's clear that a lot of thought was put into this.
2. It works. I put batteries in it, paired it with the One, and it's worked fine ever since. No issues, didn't arrive with issues.
3. New gen controller with the 3.5mm headphone jack and over the air updates without a cable. Both work flawlessly.
4. Functions with the batteries from the Nyko Charge Base.
5. Feels good. Not too heavy or light. Buttons have good action on them.
6. The added design elements are worth the extra $10 or extra over the plain black.
Cons
1. None that I can think of right now.
This is a worthy purchase. Here's hoping it lasts longer than the black controller it replaced.
This new Halo 5 controller, of course, looks amazing; it's really beautiful even for a (gasp) non-Halo fan like myself. It also has the 3.5mm headphone jack. They did some very subtle design tweaks to the controller so that it feels slightly lighter and the paint / design of this specific controller makes it feel amazing in your hands. And best of all, they fixed the shoulder buttons! Shoulder buttons are very light and easy to press now and wow it is a significant improvement to my gaming. With an adapter, you can even use this controller on the PC. The Xbone controller is without a doubt the better controller now vs the PS4 imho.
Also, as an added treat, the controller came with an in-game content surprise code for Halo 5 which I will probably eventually play.

Word of warning: Not Bluetooth. You'll need the windows adapter for it to work on PC.
(Other new gen controllers are Bluetooth)
