Many UFC fighters have it out for No. 8-ranked bantamweight contender Bryan Caraway.
Could it be because his longtime girlfriend is the attractive women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate?
All the call outs may also have something do with the inactivity of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 14 contestant. Regardless, Caraway admits to MMA Junkie that he's been searching for an opponent since last November.
If he were to have things his way, the 31-year-old grappling ace would like a crack at the undefeated "Human Anaconda," Aljamain Sterling.
"I don't know what his deal is, but it's not very classy to me, and that's not where I'm trying to bring MMA. I'm not an insecure guy; obviously, I can't be and be dating Miesha. All that stuff is feeble and weak attempt. That's what he has, he's going to play me because I'm dating a badass, beautiful girl that I've coached her entire career? I'm almost embarrassed for him."
Caraway's beef with Sterling extends back to 2015 when the Long Islander claimed he was hiding behind Tate's fame. The All-American wrestler has since continued the onslaught in 2016, asking Caraway on Twitter if "he'll retire and just become a housewife?"
Sterling isn't the only contender in the 135-pound division who has Caraway in his sights. Brazilian bombers Thomas Almeida and John Lineker have their eyes on a tussle with the Washington native.
Caraway hasn't fought since he won a decision over former interim title challenger Eddie Wineland last July. In October, "Kid Lightning" stated that his reluctance to take a tilt stemmed from a cracked rib and an upcoming family engagement.
It seems as if Caraway missed the boat on a showdown with "Hands of Stone," who is in line to take on Team Alpha Male's Cody Garbrandt. Almeida and Sterling are available at the moment.
