Apple Music

Apple has entered the streaming music space with its own product, Apple Music. With this, the company combines both live radio, under the Beats 1 branding, with streaming playlists and albums. The service originally launched at the end of June on the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and will make its way to Android this fall.

It was long rumored that Apple was working on a music streaming service, but it was not known that it would also make the move cross-platform to Android. The service currently offers Apple users a 90-day free trial, after which they can continue to subscribe to for $9.99 a month as an individual or $14.99 a month for a family plan (which allows for up to 6 users). Apple's competitive pricing structure has forced Spotify and other competitors to rethink its pricing, especially on the family end.

Apple Music was released in beta form for Android on November 10, 2015.
