“I’mma let you finish” became the phrase heard around the word after Kanye West‘s moment with Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. The rapper brought it back to the forefront when he spoofed his own words at a friends’ wedding.

West celebrated David Grutman and Isabela Rangel’s nuptials in Miami over the weekend when he grabbed the mic from DuJour magazine founder Jason Binn. “Jason, I’mma let you finish, but David and Isabela had one of the best weddings of all time,” he joked.

West famously interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the 2009 VMAs with the line, calling Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” music video one of the best of all time.

The rapper recently re-addressed the controversy at a concert earlier this month, calling the moment “the beginning of the end of my life.” He added, “This is the song that broke the writer’s block for me, because it’s something I wanted to say so bad,” West said. “So if I get in trouble for saying the truth, what’s being said the rest of the time?”
