Seven exterior colors are available for the new hybrid, along with a Parking Pack (£350 on Active and Business), Protection Pack (£300) and the Black or Chrome Pack (£350).

Power comes from a 1.8-liter VVT-I Atkinson cycle gasoline engine, rated at 98PS (97HP) & 142Nm (105lb-ft) of torque and an electric motor, generating 72PS (71HP) & 163Nm (120lb-ft) of torque

The new model rides on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) modular platform, providing a lower center of gravity and increased structural rigidity. The 5-door body style is maintained and the overall size of the car has increased by 60mm (2.4in), 15mm (0.59in) and 20mm (0.79in), in length, width and height respectively. The wheelbase is retained at 2,700mm (106in). The 2016 Toyota Prius is available for order right away and the first customer deliveries will begin on March 1, 2016.
