The first Porsche Classic Centre has become reality, as the company announced the opening of their first dealership dedicated to classic sports cars in Gelderland, Netherlands.

This is the first time that service, workshop and sales exclusively for Porsche classics have been brought under one roof, with a small number of certified Porsche Classic Centers to follow around the world.

Porsche wants to establish a strong international dealer and service network of Classic Centers as it’s estimated that more than 70 per cent of the vehicles ever produced from Zuffenhausen are still running today.

The new network will provide support for earlier models of the company in addition to the current range, as a number of regular Porsche dealerships will also be certified as Porsche Classic Partners.

At the moment, Porsche counts 24 Classic Partners on a global scale, with ten of them being in Germany and the others in Estonia, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, Hungary, South Africa, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates. Among the locations where new centers are being developed are Australia, Belgium, Canada and USA.

The staff of the new Classic Centers has completed special training, tailored specifically for Porsche classic cars. In addition, Porsche Classic Partners are equipped with special tools and model-specific repair instructions, allowing the company to guarantee the high level of quality classic-car owners will enjoy.
