EDM star attacks his former mentor, telling him he is ‘the worst label head ever’

Skrillex has accused Deadmau5 of “bullying” and of being “the worst label head ever” in a series of tweets aimed at his fellow EMD superstar.

Although Deadmau5 had been an early supporter of Skrillex, he has been critical recently, asking “what the fuck is this shit” of the single I Need Ü, recorded by Skrillex, Justin Bieber and Diplo under the name Jack Ü.

Skrillex responded to what he felt to be continual jibes from Deadmau5, writing “I’m forever grateful for the mau5’s early support but the reality is sad. He’s shriveling In his own pile of hatful.”

I'm forever grateful for the mau5's early support but the reality is sad. He's shriveling In his own pile of hatful 💩💩💩💩💩😁

He said: “I dont care bout ur personal career but the fact that u own ur own record label is sad. I feel sorry the artists you’ve signed.” He added: “youre great at finding talented people but ur leadership skills are atrocious. I’m sure you don’t care tho.” He continued: “it’s sad the people on your label have the worst label head ever aka you bro.”

Deadmau5 appeared to be unhurt by the criticisms, describing himself and Skrillex as “two EMD sellouts”.

In summary: 2 EDM sellouts bitching about who's got a good label and or who's sad. Welcome to 2015. That's about all I'm getting outta this

Skrillex insisted that he was taking a stand on a point of principle.

you can ignore bullying but at some point you have to stand up for yourself and your friends 🙏🏻

Deadmau5 stopped responding to Skrillex directly but continued to tweet about the row, at one point suggesting Skrillex must have been drunk. He said, self-mockingly:

Bored. Sad. Hateful. And lonely. True because skrillex PhD said so. https://t.co/wMgtkgcQ1D
