SpaceX's latest mission to resupply the International Space Station ended in disaster earlier today, as the unmanned Falcon 9 rocket broke up just two minutes after launch.

The cause of the failure has yet to be established. The intitial take-off seemed to progress correctly and no obvious issues were detected by onlookers - until it started to break into pieces, of course. Elon Musk tweeted this:

NASA will hold a press conference later today, and we will update this page accordingly when more information becomes available.

The ISS has enough supplies to last them until July 24th at normal levels. After that they will need to tap into "emergency reserves".

This is SpaceX's 19th launch, and its first failure.
