Kate Middleton Postpartum Depression Jealousy: Snubs Prince William's Ex Girlfriend Olivia Hunt's Wedding

The tension between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is undoubtedly high as Kate Middleton’s jealousy erupts thanks to Prince William’s desire to attend his ex-girlfriend’s wedding. Prince Williams longing to see Olivia Hunt again likely has Kate’s feeling very territorial and possessive – possibly even insecure – after Prince William’s royal male ancestors have mostly been big cheaters.

Prince William and Olivia Hunt dated while they attended St. Andrews. In fact, Hunt and William were a close couple before Kate Middleton strutted down a catwalk in a see-through dress; advertising her assets. Olivia was William’s first girlfriend at St. Andrews, and the two split but managed to remain friends much to Kate’s chagrin.

Kate was set on bagging Prince William, taking a year hiatus from her school pursuit and forfeiting her place at Edinburgh University to attend St. Andrews to ensure they’d be thrust together. The now Duchess of Cambridge is credited with breaking up William and Olivia; keeping the spoils of the split for herself. A source confirmed to the Daily Mail, “William was seeing Olivia when he met Kate, and when Kate came on the scene Olivia moved off pretty quickly.” Once Kate had her Prince, she was notoriously jealous of other girls and knew she wasn’t the only one with her sights set on marrying Prince William.
Olivia and Wills have remained friends, despite Kate’s jealousy. William even insisted Hunt attend their royal wedding. Kate likely wanted Olivia to see her walk down the aisle and marry William, so William’s ex-girlfriend was invited. Olivia Hunt is now engaged to barrister Nicholas Wilkinson, and the royal couple will be on the guest list.

However, it’s no secret Prince William and Kate Middleton are having marriage troubles. The two secretly split while Kate was pregnant with Princess Charlotte. William didn’t see Kate for an entire month, but Queen Elizabeth reunited the two and the royal couple returned to smiley public appearances. Now, the signs of a crumbling marriage are showing again. Kate has been absent from not only her royal duties, but William’s side. The Duchess has skipped several social events, sending William to attend weddings and events solo. Recently, Kate’s absence at a wedding she had planned on attending but sent her sister, Pippa Middleton to keep Prince William in check, raised eyebrows.

Some have suggested that Kate is suffering from postpartum depression and this accounts for her almost total absence from public life since Princess Charlotte’s birth. What makes CDL suspicious is that sources have gone so far as to deny this! Our experience with celebs, and Royals in particular, is that a denial more often than not is a cover-up of the truth. The palace would never admit anything could be wrong psychologically with a senior royal. And we know from the most recent appalling Prince Andrew sex scandal that we can never depend on the royals to come clean about anything they fear makes them look bad. So is Kate suffering from postpartum blues? We don’t know yet for sure but are looking into the matter and will report back.

Rumors have been swirling for months that the Duchess and her mother, Carole Middleton, have become increasingly controlling. In a previous report we shared, Kate has been calling all the shots in Prince William’s life and has taken to declining his participation events. Princess Kate snubbed his involvement in a skiing vacation planned by friends, a bachelor party, and a shooting weekend with pals. William has even stated he had to “check with missus” before making any plans, which came off as humor but appears to be serious.

No wonder the royal couple is having so many problems! What do you think of Kate’s jealousy and control over Prince William’s life? Will Kate Middleton and Prince William attend Olivia Hunt’s wedding? Is Princess Kate experiencing postpartum depression? Let us know in the comment section below.
