We can’t be sure the Nexus 6P’s camera lives up to Google’s promises until the device goes on sale later this month — but we can be sure the device shoots amazing slow-motion video. Check out this clip of a hummingbird stopping by for a drop of water.

The 30-second video was shot by Eddy Talvala, who leads Google’s camera framework team. Despite being a slow-motion video, it’s incredibly crisp and clear in 720p.

Google tells us every year that its Nexus smartphones have great cameras, and while the Nexus 6’s wasn’t terrible, they generally don’t live up to those claims. But the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are shaping up to really change that.

The experts over at DxOMark have already put the Nexus 6P through a series of professional camera tests, in which it did incredibly well. The device is now ranked third in DxO’s mobile chart, above the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the Galaxy Note 4, and the impressive LG G4.
