Demi Lovato recently took some time out of her ~cool for the fall~ schedule to pick up some surprised girls from school for BBC Radio 1's The School Run segment.

However, things got off confusing start when Demi asked what the girls learned at school.
One of the girls replied to Demi's straightforward question with "inherited genes and stuff."
A fairly confused-sounding Demi replied with, and I quote, "OK. That's good. Like, hand-me-down clothing?"
NO! AS IN "GENES," DEMI.
*giggles like an actual schoolgirl*
This ~confusion~ happened just weeks after an interviewer asked Demi what her favorite dish was. Her response? A mug.
