TOWN Residential Proudly Sponsors The Armory Show, New York’s Leading Fair for Modern and Contemporary Art
New York, NY (PRWEB) March 01, 2015 -- TOWN Residential, New York’s leading luxury real estate services firm, is proud to be an official sponsor of The Armory Show, held in midtown Manhattan’ at Piers 92 and 94 from March 5-8, 2015.
As New York’s leading fair for modern and contemporary art, The Armory Show hosts 200 of the world’s premier galleries from 30 countries across North and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Pier 92 – Modern will again represent art and artists from all major movements of the 20th century, while Pier 94 – Contemporary is dedicated to leading international, contemporary galleries. In its continued commitment to fostering a compelling platform for emerging and established galleries worldwide, The Armory Show will feature Armory Focus: Middle East, North Africa, and the Mediterranean (MENAM), curated by Omar Kholeif, Curator at the Whitechapel Gallery, London, in a devoted section of Pier 94. The MENAM focus is presented in collaboration with lead cultural partner, Edge of Arabia, and education partner, Art Jameel. The 2015 fair will once again include Armory Presents, a section devoted to single and dual artist presentations by galleries less than ten years old.
A seminal event in the annual New York arts calendar, the fair spearheads Armory Arts Week, a city-wide program of cultural events and exhibitions throughout the five boroughs. The Armory Show 2015 edition will again feature an acclaimed VIP program of events, a lively opening night benefit party at the Museum of Modern Art and the engaging Open Forum discussion series.
Now in its seventeenth year, the ever-expanding show is a recognized international institution attracting artists, galleries, collectors, critics and curators from all over the world. Armory Arts Week strives to take advantage of the yearly convergence of the world’s top collectors and art enthusiasts by thoughtfully consolidating and promoting a diverse selection of our city’s own cultural offerings.
Deeply rooted in the city’s cultural fabric, The Armory Show continues to enjoy a position as New York’s most established and well-respected art fair, and possesses the deepest level of access and intimate knowledge of the U.S. art collector base. The Armory Show creates the tone, and is a gold standard against which all other fairs are measured globally, providing the ideal partnership platform for TOWN Residential to further enhance our commitment to the arts and local cultural community while also providing access for TOWN’S Representatives and clients, many of whom have an affinity for arts, to experience unique and educational programming during the 2015 Armory Arts Week.
Through TOWN Experience, a dynamic first of its kind initiative, TOWN Residential extends our marketing platform beyond print and digital and brings the TOWN brand into real time through exclusive, visible and cutting edge events that provide TOWN Representatives with genuine opportunities to network, entertain and engage.
