Charles Villanueva edited together footage from films and TV shows like Iron Man, Captain America: The First Avenger, Jessica Jones, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to show how Marvel has been setting up the events in Civil War. The film, directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, sees the introduction of the Sokovia Accords that seek to impose harsher restrictions on superhuman activity. The action splits the Avengers with two factions forming around Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Captain America (Chris Evans). Marvel’s The Avengers and its sequel, Age of Ultron, teased the impending smackdown, but the supercut illustrates the larger evolution of these two characters. WANT MORE EW?
