If simply owning one of 499 LaFerraris isn’t special enough, you can always rely on the services of Vossen’s Bespoke Design Program and get yourself a set of custom forged wheels.

First you start with an interesting color, of course. Gray works really well on the LaFerrari and definitely sets it apart from most of the other red, yellow, blue or black models we’ve seen lately. Then you take it to Vossen where a team of in-house designers and engineers will measure the car in over 100 different ways, including a full 3D map of the brake and suspension in order to create the perfect fit.

The wheels measure 20×9 at the front and 21×12.5 at the rear, and are of course wearing Pirelli P Zero Corsa System rubber.

You certainly need the grip in a car that can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 3 seconds and exceed 350 km/h (217 mph) whenever it is practical and legal to do so. In fact, you’re looking at the fastest production car Ferrari has ever built, and the $1.4 million price tag certainly reflects that.

In terms of wheel design, the factory alloys have a very basic look, which does expose a lot of the hardware – so everything can be forgiven aesthetically speaking. These custom ones from Vossen have 12 thin spokes instead of the standard thicker 5, though you can still clearly see the discs and the calipers, which is a must.

The owner of the car was also heavily involved in creating this exclusive design, which is only natural when dealing with such an expensive car. Also, you certainly don’t want to ride on anything generic, or part of an already existing collection.

On their official website, Vossen stated that “The LaFerrari represents Ferrari’s most ambitious project yet to push the boundaries of technology on a road car, drawing together the finest expression of the marque’s technical capabilities in both GT and Formula 1 engineering.”

Nobody’s going to argue with that.
