At the risk of over-bloating an already crowded forum with yet another thread at the moment, I haven't really seen a central place for everyone's thoughts and opinions yet. I got a gold, 64GB 6S+.
  • I really enjoy the 3D Touch - while there aren't too many apps that use it right now, I can definitely see it becoming part of my everyday 'without thinking about it' navigation.
  • It definitely is noticeably heavier (I have the 6s+), but not to the point where it's uncomfortable. I think after a day of using it I'll forget about the weight of the 6+.
  • While I've only played around with the camera a little bit, photos are DEFINITELY better than those we saw from that early release. Equal to or better than the 6/6+.
  • Live Photos are cool... but I don't really see myself using them. More of a gimmicky piece. Plus I'm not too fond of the frame rate.
  • Holy ****, Touch ID is fast.
  • And overall, the device itself is a whole lot quicker (I wanted to avoid snappier...) - the 2GB RAM has definitely helped. Even on the 6+ I haven't noticed any lag at all, except for this weird thing that happens when you swipe up on the mail peek. That feels more like a bug than anything else though.
Anything you wanna know feel free to ask, otherwise share your experiences!

So you see no lag in the 6s +? I am hoping you're right.

Another question, based on a bad review, you can still move apps the same way as before?

Just setting mine up.

Defiantly feels heavier than the 14grams.

Live Photos - meh. Gimmick doubt I'll ever use it

Camera : nice improvement

Battery is what I'm most interested in, need a few days.

None so far! Hopefully it sticks lol.

Yes and no. It definitely is a little bit more difficult than before. You just have to press without any pressure AT ALL and then it'll come up for you. If it detects a little bit of pressure it'll start to peek, but if it does you can (sometimes) remove some of the pressure and they'll start jiggling as they always do lol.

do you use cases? all your cases fit?

I actually don't use cases so can't help on that one I'm afraid. From what I've read all cases have fit so far though so you should be in luck.

Thats what I was thinking. Will be a bit more difficult, but still there. Thanks!!

I also recorded a 4K video for exactly 1 minute just to test the file size, and Apple's is pretty accurate - mine was 380MB.

Bit too early to give a definitive answer since it's only first-day and I'm over-using it at the moment, but seems on par with the 6+.

yea, well.. thought maybe the % drop will give an assumption.

I was just editing some stuff in iMovie, had about 5 different 4K videos loaded up, some side by side and some over the top of each other, and no or freezing lag at all. Impressed.

I'd be interested to hear if the volume is any different compared to the 6+?

I honestly couldn't say - I've just played a few songs and it kinda FEELS a little louder, but that could just be me.

wish there was a size between the current ones, like 5.1ish. anyways, thanks for all the info I am going with a 6s 128gb today after going back and forth with the + for the last couple weeks. I guess I may get it if they don't have a 128 6s and I think I would have 14 days to test drive and see if I can adjust.

Plus is definitely worth it, takes a bit of getting used to but I couldn't use anything smaller than 5.5 now.

Thats what I think as well, but I like one handed use and it seems that even after getting used to it there would still be many scenarios where you need two hands to use it efficiently. I want a plus, just not sure if the times I want it for outweigh the times that it would be inconvenient for me.

Yeah, it's can be a bit of balancing/juggling act at times but all of that big, rich, clear content out weighs it's for me

see that is what has me wanting it so bad! I skate/longboard as well and I feel like that beautiful beast would shatter rather easily if I fell. I could always be an adult and take it out of my pocket before I skate but in my old age i usually just longboard down the street to the neighbors or out with my kid while he rides his bike and I fall at the dumbest times. Not even trying to do any tricks lol I will just fall out of nowhere like 1 time a month haha feel like I would have bad results with that big'ol screen. If they don't have a 6s this morning I will give it a try though for sure!
