Borrowing a page from Porsche Design and the BMW Group’s Designworks USA, French carmaker Peugeot has launched its own design studio with the goal of offering its expertise to external clients.

The newly formed Peugeot Design Lab is located in the PSA Design Centre but will make use of the experience and facilities of the Peugeot Design Centers in the cities of Paris (France), Shanghai (China) and Sao Paolo (Brazil).

The new studio will be led Cathal Loughnan, who will report directly to Gilles Vidal, Director of Style Peugeot.

Peugeot says the new Design Lab will accept projects from clients within and outside the motor industry.

For its launch, the Peugeot Design Lab has conceived a portfolio presenting its vision of various products including a powerboat, a yacht, an airplane and a watch.

The studio also presents two creations already available, the DL121 and DL122 bikes, all of which you can check out for yourself in the gallery after the break.
