First impressions;
- Rose gold colour: loving the rose gold! Each will have their own opinion but I think it's closer to copper. Definitely not as pink as I thought it'd be!
- weight: noticeable but I came from a 6. Will get used to it over the next few days
- 3D Touch: takes a while to get used to but now I've got the hang of it. I've also switched the sensitivity to light which activates it with a softer press. Definitely no problem with moving apps around as you tap and hold and not press
- live photo: meh. Gimmick to me
- overall much much faster: safari, Touch ID and basically everything

Weird question, do you notice a drastic difference in colour when you're outside vs inside (ie natural vs artificial lighting)?

Got a 6s this morning, upgraded from 5s so there I had plenty to look forward to.

Overall a very fast device but I'm worried about its battery life. Touch ID is so fast that just tapping the Home Button to access shortcuts such as the Control Center or Swipe up for Camera would just unlock the device. (I do this a lot on my iPad Air 2 to access Control Center.)

Haven't got the chance to test out many other aspect yet but I have to say I'm a lil underwhelmed by 3D Touch for now. Unlike TS, I feel that it wouldn't become something that's natural for me to do, partly because the "shortcuts" built into the apps aren't what I would normally look for. I also prefer looking at things full (email content/messages/pictures) and don't see the need to peek at them when going in and out is so fast already. I do see the advantage of peeking at a URL or a location from a text link though. It has a lot of potential to go either ways depending on how intuitive it can get with 3rd party apps.

Live Photo is a great feature when you create them intentionally. I hope Apple would allow us to remove accidental "live" portions of a photo as I probably wouldn't hold 3 seconds to take a photo every single time.

Always on "Hey Siri" definitely helps a lot when I'm behind the wheel.

Can't really comment on the battery yet since it's less than a day old but it went from 64% to 9% at the time of writing (about 6 hours after unplugging). Really hoping here that the battery wouldn't disappoint here.

I would say that this is every bit a worthy upgrade for my 5s.

What color did you go with? Case? Photos?

...I skate/longboard as well...

I would say this is good enough a reason for you to get the Plus version already. The video OIS in the Plus version is very noticeable compared to the software stabilization found on the 6s. Unless you don't foresee yourself videoing tricks that is..

The iPhone 6s by itself isn't that much more one hand friendly in my opinion. I find myself using both hands a lot more and the awkwardness of trying to use "Reachability" to reach the top at times makes me just wanna use both hands for the 6s.

The Plus flared better in the newly released drop test but I'd definitely recommend you to get something to armor it up while skating.

oops, I missed the photos part xD

will add to my original post after this. I went with Space Grey and Spigen Neo Hybrid EX Metal (Red). Nothing really "new" here since the combination was already available for the 6

Apple Stores are carrying the Spigen cases now?

nah, I got it else where right after pre-ordering the phone :D a good deal to me since it comes with front and back protector to hold off before I get my glass protector

just wanna add that the case does seem to affect reception though D:

Can you guys tell me about its backlight uniformity? Any yellow or color temperature shift changes (yellow tone to cool blue left to right) or dark grayish blobs? I'm on my 7th (yes 7th) iPhone 6 and all of them have had display uniformity problems. Darker corners you name it. 6/7 with crooked FaceTime camera some with loose displays. Build quality sucked. Wondering if it's better on the 6S with quality control.

Unless I'm mistaken, I swear I read on a number of reviews that the regulatory details had been removed from the back of the 6S? If that's the case, how come my 6S has them on still...

Unless I'm imagining things...

I almost bought the Carbon Red of this series but decided that I want to be able to see the the phone "bare back" :p

I think they've reinforced the mute button area of this series compared to the old Neo Hybrid series which was a disaster.

I'm happy enough that they removed the IMEI number from the back

Hey all,

Got my 6S Plus this morning and have to say, I am loving it. Not overly impressed with 4K video as I prefer the smoothness of 1080p at 60fps. 3D touch, I was a little sceptical about but I think it's delightful.

Only gripe, if you can call it that, is when I'm at work and my phones on the desk, I often press the home button quickly to light up the phone to see any notifications etc. Just to add my previous phone is a 6 Plus.

I notice that the fingerprint reader is VERY sensitive, like to the extent that almost 100% of the time if I press the home button very quickly, it's enough for it to read my fingerprint and unlock the phone.

Obviously this is a big thumbs up for the reader itself and the implementation of it but it does now mean that I have to retrain my mind to use the power button, which when it's laid flat on a table isn't very easy.

Just thought I'd share my thoughts. Also I'd like to add that the official leather case from Apple that I had on my 6 Plus fits the 6S Plus without any issues. Sure it's a little more snug getting it on but not to the extent that the fit is bad.

Paul.
