Robert Knepper is joining “Twin Peaks,” Showtime‘s upcoming revival of David Lynch’s hit drama, Variety has confirmed.

Details of Knepper’s role, like much about the revival, are being kept under wraps. The actor can be seen in several TV series, and is perhaps best known for his role as Theodore “T-Bag” Bagwell in Fox’s “Prison Break.”

The only cast member Showtime has confirmed thus far is Kyle MacLachlan, who will reprise his starring role as Agent Dale Cooper. Several other fan favorites from the original, however, are expected to return. Amanda Seyfried is also reportedly set to appear in multiple episodes of “Twin Peaks.”

Along with parts in TNT’s “Public Morals” and History’s “Texas Rising,” Knepper has a recurring role on The CW’s “iZombie,” and also appeared in the final season of NBC’s “Heroes.” He will also be seen in the upcoming “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2,” after having appeared in the first part as Antonius.

Lynch is returning to direct the series, and is also writing with fellow “Twin Peaks” co-creator Mark Frost. Though no premiere date has been set, the series will likely bow in 2017, according to Frost, after being pushed back from its 2016 premiere goal.
