Mother's Day Weekend Forecast for Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow

The weekend looks to be nice, but we'll tell you when to expect some clouds.

First, Happy Mother’s Day weekend to all of the moms out there.

The latest National Weather Service forecast is all over the place, but by and large the forecast will be a good one for Sunday.

Before we get to the weekend, Friday’s forecast looks great with bright sunshine and temps in the mid-70s for Westchester County.

On Saturday, it will be foggy early and then mostly sunny and highs in the 70s.

Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather says that “the string of weather we have lined up for Friday, Saturday and Sunday… are about as good as you can possibly draw up for Mother’s Day weekend. The only complaint that some will have… is that it’s actually a few degrees too hot (it all depends on your preference).”

There may be little bouts of drizzle at various times during the weekend, but nothing serious. On Mother’s Day there may be some cloudy skies that will give way to sun later in the day in the region.

“A tremendous ridge of high pressure will take up residence along the east coast… and generate a SW flow into the northeast,” Potter added. “Sunshine will be the dominant weather feature for Friday and Saturday… and while a few more clouds could show up for Mother’s Day… the entire weekend looks dry and warm.”
