Many initiates of Palo state that one cannot be part of it and be homosexual.

It is clear that there have been several high profile paleros who were gay. Are gay paleros a reality or are those who claim to be gay and practice Palo misinformed or frauds?

Is the common insistance that Palo is incompatible with homosexuality inherent to the African religious tradition or has the religion been influenced by Latin American concepts of machismo?
