Never stop cringing at this supercut of awkward celebrity interviews

Interviewing is an art form. Especially in this day and age, when celebrities are bombarded with the same questions from all sorts of outlets, it’s hard to elicit a real moment from them. However, it does help if the interviewer is being kind of a dick, or the interviewee is not in a great mood. And if both of those circumstances combine, then you’ve got the makings of a truly unfortunate train wreck. World Wide Interwebs has compiled a bunch of awkward interviews from many celebrities spanning the years; from Samuel L. Jackson to Gary Coleman, Gene Simmons to Jennifer Aniston, there are many instances where the reporter is being rude, misinformed, or else dealing with someone who simply doesn’t want to be there.

It’s a squirm-inducing supercut in which few come out looking good—Jackson has a strong point that he’s not Laurence Fishburne, and it’s not copacetic to call Amy Schumer “skanky.” But for the most part, it’s people not enjoying the gentle back and forth of an interview, with the situation instead blowing up in the faces of everyone involved, leaving viewers gobsmacked and feeling awkward by proxy.
