With the 2015 Movie Awards mere days away, we've been filling our time with the fashion from shows in semi-recent memory. We've taken a look at what our faves wore in 1995 and 2000, and today we're looking at 2005, which doesn't ~feel~ that long ago, but based on the #FASHUN, it definitely was.

Um, yes, there is a lot going on in this photo, but the most striking is probably Nicole Richie with that bright blonde hair. It's been so long!

While some attendees use the Movie Awards as an opportunity to wear jeans on a red carpet, that cannot be said for Mariah Carey. Mimi also performed "We Belong Together" in this red gown, so, y'know, two birds, one stone.

Between his shirt, sweatshirt, shoes, and bucket hat, Samuel L. Jackson was very color-coordinated.

Sandra Bullock

If you stopped scrolling before reaching the bottom of this image, you'd think Sandra Bullock wore a purple silk dress to the Movie Awards, which is half true. She wore unhemmed jeans underneath it, though, so the vibe was definitely... different.

Dakota Fanning

Tiny BB Dakota Fanning was there in a tutu and eyelet top with, like, beautifully windblown hair. Also, her necklace game was very strong.

Fresh off hosting the Movie Awards the year before, Lindsay Lohan returned to the show blonde and bronzed for true bombshell status.

After we knew her as Lizzie McGuire (but before we knew her as the subject of a "Diva Cup extraction" for art/television), Hilary Duff hit the 2005 Movie Awards red carpet in this QT lil' number. Props on matching your accessories to your dress but NOT your fingers to your toes! What a ~rebel~.
