The Opel / Vauxhall Astra is a bread and butter car in Europe, even if it’s by no means as classless as the rival VW Golf. However, this latest Astra is the poshest-looking one yet, and it does pack solid engines and the latest tech from GM.
Did you want OnStar in your Astra? Well, either way, the new car offers it, along with a standard seven-inch touchscreen or a larger optional eight-inch unit for upper spec models. Android Auto and Apple Car Play come as standard, as well.
As for the interior, it’s said to be bigger than on the old Astra and this static preview courtesy of AutoExpress does seem to confirm this. The car does leave a positive impression overall, but we’ll have to wait until its Frankfurt Motor Show premiere and the official reveal to get the full details and specs.
