Sleep Therapy unveils ‘Matriarch’ from forthcoming ‘Creatures’ EP

After a long hiatus, the group is back, marking its return by releasing a series of EPs steeped in themes of existentialism and the apocalypse.

Tonight (Sat., May 30), Sleep Therapy headlines a show at the Earl with A Drug Called Tradition and Twin Studies.

The group was an active tenant of Atlanta’s indie music scene circa 2005-2010. After nearly five years in the void Sleep Therapy is back, marking its return with a series of EPs steeped in themes of existentialism and the dreary side of waking life. “Matriarch” is a noisy pop cut from its forthcoming Creatures EP. It’s not due to arrive till June 16, but tonight the group celebrates an early release party.
