BTS of ‘Tutu Warrior Photo Shoot’: muscular men sport a pink tutu for breast cancer awareness

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), Seattle-based photographer John Keatley teamed up with Black Rapid to create their own rendition of ‘The Tutu Project’, a photo series that helps raise funds and awareness for breast cancer patients and research.

To follow the queue that other Tutu Project images set, the team gathered up a handful of muscular men, made them look as gritty as possible, gave them 300-esque weaponry and – most importantly – adorned them with the pink tutus that gave the project its name.

During the shoot, a behind-the-scenes video was taken, showing how everything came together. As you could expect, there was plenty of laughter – the juxtaposition of a pink tutu on the waist of ripped men is something you don’t see everyday.
