  • Says he parked his car in a local garage while he went to a computer store
  • When he returned two hours later, the valet told him he'd given his car to someone else 'by accident'
  • The worker has reportedly been fired from the parking lot in Manhattan

DJ Grandmaster Flash has revealed he is now without his beloved white Dodge Charger after a parking attendant gave the car to a person 'who looked like' the hip-hop star.

In a video posted to Instagram Friday, 57-year-old Flash said he went to a 23rd Street and 6th Avenue computer store and parked his car at a garage in the area.

'Came back two hours later,' Flash said in the clip. 'Homeboy told me he gave my car to somebody with no ID that looked like me. What?!'

The $45,000 car reportedly contained DJ-ing equipment worth thousands of dollars, along with three crates of vinyl records, which Flash has said were priceless to him.

He captioned the video 'The attendant gave my Whip to somebody that was Dressed like me minus the PUMAS if he knew that much of kicks WHY did he give the car up--- dude Had NO ID had NO Stub WTH.'

Flash has also uploaded several images of his missing car online.

In an interview with TMZ he said: ''I walk up to the attendant, and I hand him my ticket.

'His eyes get big and he says to me, "Oh my God. I've given your car to somebody else by accident."

'So now I'm saying to myself, "Maybe this guy is playing a punk, joke on me, or maybe he knows who I am and he wants to see if I’m gonna get crazy."

'I had three crates of records in the car - my vintage, because I'm doing a movie with Baz Luhrmann and I had to do a scene with my old-school vinyl, which is priceless to me.'

Flash is working with Luhrmann on 1970s period production The Get Down, which is set to come out on Netflix in 2016.

He has previously shared snaps of him posing with the Hollywood director. Daily Mail Online reported in June that Mamoudou Athie has been cast as a younger version of Flash.

A NYPD spokesman told ABC News that Flash reported his missing vehicle 10:15pm last Thursday.

The valet in question has been fired, according to the news outlet.

The New York Post, citing police sources, reported the car contained a $5,000 preamplifier, $15,000 microphone and a $30,000 record. Its sources valued the DJ's Dodge Charger at $45,000.
